   Used and unwanted blankets from area motels, hotels and condominiums were collected by Oceanside Realty in fall 2004 and then donated to local charitable organizations for use by those in need as part of Oceanside's Blanket of Hope Drive.
   
   Blankets and bedspreads that are often thrown out in the trash by motel owners who no longer have a use for them are a valuable commodity for the less fortunate, according to Realtor Paul Chiolo, president of Oceanside Realty.
