Ben Cherry, ASG external relations chairman, will work on moving the off-campus living guide to an online format.That would make the guide more usable, he said.

"The biggest challenge is finding a way to get students to use it," he added.

While the details of these projects are being honed, senators will vote tonight on three pieces of old legislation.

One bill urges the Undergraduate Budget Priorities Committee to lobby for Blomquist Recreation Center improvements.The other two bills involve internal ASG affairs.One would shorten the time a campuswide referendum is binding and the other would eliminate a bylaw that bars the appointment of senators after the third senate meeting each quarter.

ASG External Relations Chairman Ben Cherry said he hopes if Freshman Freeze is shortened, "one side effect of it will be that there are fewer raucous off-campus parties."Still, he said he realizes partying will not cease.

"I wouldn't expect this to negate off-campus partying entirely, but I hope there will be some effect," said Cherry, a Weinberg junior.

The previous restaurant database was outdated and limited in scope, said Weinberg junior Ben Cherry, ASG external relations chairman.

If the premiere is successful, ASG will consider expanding the restaurant list, Cherry said.He said ASG might allow students to add their own menus, but the idea is not yet fully developed.

Many of the improvements are dependent upon student use of the site, Cherry said.

"Hopefully down the road we'll get more exotic with it," he said."(Now) it will be a little more pretty and a little bit faster than before."

The bill was ambiguous and unenforceable, said Ben Cherry, Weinberg '04, a former ASG senator.

"Politically, the reputation of the university is at stake," said Cherry.
