Each module is priced around US$500 and the company's marketing director Yvonne Chen said that she was focusing on the OEM market, especially in Japan.Both PC100 and PC133 versions of the modules have been released and 256MB of memory fits on one side, to a maximum of 512MB when both sides are used."These modules should be able to reach 400MHz, with CAS latency is three at 133MHz and CAS latency is two at 100MHz.The original height of the PCB was 1.25 inches, but we have reduced that to 1.18 inches for the mini-notebook market.We will release this product next month [July], she added.

¡@¡@In comparison with desktops, notebooks are growing at twice the rate, Chen pointed out.The desktop market has slowed down and notebooks appear to be taking the market from them."Maybe within two years everyone will have a notebook," predicted Chen.

Ms Chen is Executive Director with the SES Group, based in Singapore.

Ms Chen joined the SES Group as a Search Consultant in 1995. She has conducted search assignments for senior executives within the South East Asia region in the technology, financial, pharmaceutical, and fast-moving consumer goods industries, covering a diverse range of functional areas.

Before entering the search industry, Ms Chen was the Director of Finance & Administration for a Singapore based engineering services firm. Her earlier career involved various capacities, including Senior Consultant with Drake International, Management Consultant with MSD Consultants and Marketing Representative with IBM Singapore.

Born and raised in Singapore, Ms Chen graduated with a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Management Information Systems from the University of Tennessee in1988 and a Master of Human Resource Management from Rutgers University in 1995. She is fully bicultural and speaks English, Mandarin and Cantonese.

A Singaporean, Ms Chen graduated from the University of Tennessee, USA, with a Bachelor of Business Administration in Management Information Systems in 1988.She subsequently obtained a Master of Human Resource Management degree from the Rutgers University, USA in 1995.

Ms Chen began her career as a Marketing Representative with IBM Singapore, before moving into management consultancy with MSD Consultants Pte Ltd.She was involved in projects covering manpower planning, strategic planning and organizational reviews.Two years later, Ms Chen joined Drake International (S) Limited as Senior Consultant of the Executive Division, responsible for setting up the executive selection arm for middle management and professional staff.Prior to entering the executive search profession, she served a two-year period as a Director of private engineering service company, where she managed all human resources, finance and administrative functions for the Singapore and Malaysia offices.

Ms Chen has conducted search assignments in the technology, financial, fast-moving consumer goods and pharmaceutical industries, covering a diverse range of functional areas, in both Singapore and Malaysia.

In early 1998, the SES Group was established, following the merger of previous Ward Howell partner companies in Hong Kong, Shanghai, Taiwan and Singapore.Subsequently, the Beijing and Los Angeles offices were opened.
