   Mr. Thomas W.Y. Chen received his master degree in Industrial Engineering from National Tsing-Hua University, Taiwan in 1988. He is studying Executive MBA degree in National Taiwan University, Taiwan now.
   
   He is currently Director of Manufacturing Information Technology Division at Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company. He is also serving as the Chairman of Computer Integrated Manufacturing Development Technical Board, responsible for all Computer Integrated Manufacturing System (CIM) development at TSMC.
   
   Thomas Chen is currently serving as Co-Chair of the Technical Committee for Semiconductor Factory Automation, IEEE Robotics and Automation Society. He is also serving as the Coordinator of 300mm Automation Standard Task Force for TSIA, Taiwan Semiconductor Industry Association. In addition, he serves as the Board member of SME Taiwan, Society of Manufacturing Engineers Taiwan.

   Thomas W. Y. Chen Director of MITD in TSMC
   
   Mr. Thomas W. Y. Chen obtained his master degree from the Graduate Institute of Industrial Engineering of the National Tsing-Hua University. Currently, Mr. Thomas Chen is Director of the Manufacturing Information Technology Division, Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company Limited (TSMC), the leading foundry worldwide. He is also Chairman of the Computer Integrated Manufacturing Development Technical Board, responsible for all matters concerning CIM in TSMC fabs and for provision of solutions and services using information technology in semiconductor manufacturing. In the meantime, Mr. Thomas Chen is studying his EMBA degree in the National Taiwan University.
   
   He is Co-Chair of the Technical Committee on Semiconductor Factory Automation, IEEE Robotics and Automation Society.
