    Stephen Chen is a Senior Lecturer in Management and the Director of the Research Program at the NGSM.He studied Science at King's College, London and Oxford University and studied for his MBA at Cranfield Management School and INSEAD.He gained his PhD in Business Policy from Imperial College, London.He also holds postgraduate qualifications in computing from the Open University and marketing from the Chartered Institute of Marketing (UK).Before joining NGSM, his previous academic experience included Postdoctoral Fellow at the City University Business School, Lecturer in Strategic Management at Manchester Business School, Visiting Associate Professor in Business Policy at the Anderson School of Management at the University of California Los Angeles and Associate member of faculty at Henley Management College and the Open Business School (UK).In addition to his academic posts, he has also worked in industry in R&D, IT, marketing, management and consultancy.His publications include ‘Strategic Management of E-Business' (published by Wiley & Sons), ‘Strategic Management of Information' (by Henley Distance Learning) and articles in journals such as European Management Journal, Technology Analysis and Strategic Management, Journal of Electronic Commerce Research, Journal of Brand Management, Journal of Management Decision-making, Journal of Intellectual Capital, Business Horizons, Journal of Knowledge Management, Journal of Business Ethics and Management International Review.

    Stephen studied natural sciences at King's College, London and Oxford University, and worked in a number of R&D, IT and management consultancy posts in industry before becoming a management academic.He holds an MBA from the Cranfield School of Management and a PhD in Management from the Imperial College, London.Previously he has taught at Henley Management College, the Open Business School (UK), City University Business School (now Cass Business School), Manchester Business School, the Anderson Graduate School of Management at UCLA and most recently the Australian National University, where among other responsibilities, he held posts as Director of the Master in International Management in Mandarin Program and Director of Research at the National Graduate School of Management.
