Stanley H. Cohen, MD
Dr. Stanley H. Cohen is Professor of Neurology in Residence at the UCLA School of Medicine and Director of the Clinical Stroke Program at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center. He is a Fellow of the American Academy of Neurology and a Stroke Council Fellow of the American Heart Association.
Dr. Cohen received his medical degree from the State University of New York, Downstate Medical Center (1974). He then went on to complete an internship in Internal Medicine at St. Francis Hospital in Hartford, CT and a Neurology residency at the Albany Medical Center Hospital (1975-1976) and the West Los Angeles VA Medical Center and the UCLA School of Medicine (1976-1978).
Throughout his career, Dr. Cohen has been actively involved in stroke research, participating in a large number of clinical trials. Currently, he is Principle Investigator at VAWLAHC for the VISP, AAASPS, WASID, and SONIA trials, and is Chairperson of the Adjudications Committee for the CREST trial. He is also a reviewer for multiple medical journals including Stroke, Archives of Neurology, and Journal American Geriatrics Society. -
