    Shereen C. Chen is of counsel in the Litigation Department and a member of the Labor, Employment & Immigration Group and Franchise and Distribution Group. (CCLSJ). CCLSJ is a nonprofit association located in Camden, New Jersey and part of the Diocese of Camden. CCLSJ is a member of the Catholic Legal Immigration Network and dedicated to assisting the working poor with immigration issues. CIAP was created as a joint venture by the American Bar Association and the Camden County Bar Association; its mission statements included mentoring and training local attorneys on immigration issues and assisting the indigent with immigration problems.

    As the coordinating attorney for CIAP, Ms. Chen conducted monthly lectures on various topics in immigration law - "Basics of Immigration Law," "Naturalization and Citizenship," and "Ethics and Immigration" through a two-year grant from the ABA.

    Ms. Chen is a member of the American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA), Camden County Bar Association, Immigration & Naturalization Committee, New Jersey Bar Association, Advancement Council for the Rutgers-Camden Center for the Arts, S.C.A.N. (Sensitivity and Cultural Awareness Now), Coalition for Multi-Cultural Understanding, and the City of Camden Asian-American Advisory Commission (2002). As a member of the Immigration & Naturalization Committee for the Camden County Bar Association, Ms. Chen serves as a keynote speaker for the Naturalization Ceremonies at the Mitchell Cohen Federal Courthouse in Camden, New Jersey.

    Ms. Chen is a frequent lecturer on immigration law topics. She has appeared as the immigration expert for NBC 10 News (Philadelphia) and on the television show "Legal Lines," where she lectured on such topics as "Immigration Laws and Procedures" and "Immigration and the Family."

    As a member of AILA, Ms. Chen is active on the Cherry Hill Liaison Committee and the South Jersey Chapter Membership Committee. Presently, Ms. Chen serves as an AILA Mentor. She also is a member of the District IV Ethics Committee (New Jersey).

    Ms. Chen is a graduate of Johns Hopkins University (B.A. 1993) and Rutgers University School of Law - Camden (J.D., with honors in International Law, 1996) where she was a member of the Jessup International Law Moot Court Team. At Johns Hopkins, Ms. Chen was a Varsity member of the Women's Lacrosse Team and participated in the Division III NCAA Finals in 1993.
