   Richard Chen founded Vincera Ventures in 1997 and served as the President in 1997 and later the Chairman since 2002. He was responsible for Vincera's investments in Compal Communications, Formosa Epitaxy, Largan Precision and others. He is currently a Board Director of Plotech Co. and Galaxy Far East Corp. Richard has been elected as the Chairman of the Taiwan Venture Capital Association (TVCA) since May of 2005. He is a frequent guest speaker in various VC forums in China and Taiwan.
   
   Prior to founding Vincera, Mr. Chen was EVP at GFC Ltd, a publicly listed company in Taiwan. His past working experiences include various executive positions in Huang & Chen Financial Services Co., Global Shearson Financial Services Co. and the Procter & Gamble Company in Geneva, Switzerland.
   
   Richard received his MBA degree from the Wharton Business School and MA in International Studies from the University of Pennsylvania. He was awarded as an "Outstanding Alumni" by National Taipei University of Technology in 2004.
