Michael Chen

Michael Chen has served as Vice President at CIT Group since October 2000 and is responsible for formulating and implementing marketing strategies to promote factoring and asset-based lending services to multinational companies of the Asian Pacific.

Mr. Chen graduated from South China Agricultural University, majoring in Agricultural Economics and worked as an Associate Economist in the Shenzhen City Government for six years.He earned his Masters degree in Economics from Alcorn State University in Mississippi and was sponsored by the U.S. Department of Agriculture, as well as earning his MBA at St. John's University in New York.Chen joined MTB Bank, Trading Alliance Division as a business manager in 1994.Mr. Chen is experienced in International Trade Promotion, Risk Analysis and Mitigation, Product Development and Promotion, Regulation Compliance, Customer Relations and Trade Logistics.

Mr. Chen spends a great deal of his time helping the Chinese-American business community and facilitated training workshops sponsored by New York City and the Federal Government to educate small-medium sized businesses on receiving financing from mainstream financial institutions.
