    She is especially interested in applying theoretical models of socially learned behaviors to populations with different cultural and social backgrounds, both in the United States and internationally.

    She has recently received funding from the National Institute on Alcohol Abuse & Alcoholism to investigate how malt liquor is consumed by college students and whether such consumption plays a significant role in college binge drinking.

    She is also involved in a longitudinal study on the effects of alcohol advertising on the drinking beliefs and behaviors of children and adolescents.
