   Luci Chen, MD joined AOS in 1999.She was the Clinical Director of the Department of Radiation Oncology at Louis A. Weiss Memorial Hospital and an Assistant Professor of Radiation Oncology at the University of Chicago prior to joining AOS.From 1995 to 1997, she served as an Instructor in the Department of Radiation and Cellular Oncology at the University of Chicago, which provided opportunities to teach residents and medical students, and to conduct clinical studies in addition to her patient care duties.
   
   Her clinical interests include breast cancer therapy (including brachytherapy), gynecological cancers, lymphomas, head and neck cancer, lung cancer, gastrointestinal cancers, prostate cancer, intensity modulated radiation therapy (IMRT), three-dimensional conformal radiation therapy, thyroid cancers including radioactive iodine treatment and intensity modulated therapy for thyroid cancer.
   
   Dr. Chen received her medical degree at the State University of New York at the Health Sciences Center at Syracuse in 1990.She completed her Internship at Evanston Hospital, part of the Northwestern Memorial Medical Center in Evanston, Illinois.She went on to complete residency training at the University of Chicago, where she served as Chief Resident in 1994.She was awarded an American Cancer Society Fellowship in 1995 for clinical research in breast cancer.She was Board Certified in Radiation Oncology by the American Board of Radiology in 1995 and became a Fellow of the American College of Radiation Oncology in 2006.
   
   Dr. Chen is based at AOS - Paradise Valley Center.
