About Dr. Chen:
Over eighteen years ago, Dr. Chen began giving Tai Chi lessons to a few friends, some of whom are still with the group today. Besides working with the Tampa class, he also oversees a Clearwater group which he visits one Saturday each month. Dr Chen also conducts some seminars to various 'Elderly' clubs (Tai Chi exercise being good medicine for old age). Last year, in cooperation with the USF Medical Clinic, Rheumatology Department, he conducted a study of the effect of Tai Chi on bone density with a group of about 40 women.
Present Position Dr. Chen is currently Proffesor on the faculty of the University of South Florida, College of Medicine, within the Deaprtment of Anatomy. He joined the Department in 1980. Dr. Chen teaches Human Microscopic Anatomy to first-year medical students, Advanced Microscopic Anatomy and Graduate Anatomy Seminar.
