   Senator George Runner (R- Antelope Valley) has selected Julius Chen, a local Valencia resident, to work in his Capitol office on legislative issues this year.

   Julius Chen is one of the 18 Senate Fellows selected from 450 applicants. Julius Chen, a William S. Hart High School alumnus, recently graduated from Princeton University. ,We are excited to have Julius work in our office during his Senate Fellowship.

   After attending William S. Hart High School, Julius attended Princeton University and graduated magna cum laude in May 2005. While at Princeton, Julius was the co-captain of the Cycling Team, Political Chair of the Princeton University Asian American Student Association, among many other outstanding achievements. Chen said, ,Having worked in Santa Clarita, the Antelope Valley, and San Bernardino County, I believe I have a good understanding of the issues that are important to Senator Runner,s constituency.
