John Chin, Executive Director As Executive Director, John oversees the development of the organization's membership and the design, development and implementation of programs to promote and maximize resources for microenterprise development throughout Colorado.
John Chin comes to CAMI with a wealth of entrepreneurial, management and academic experience. Most recently, he was Chief Academic Officer at Front Range Community College where he was responsible for the college's academic affairs, including strategic planning, program development, instruction, student services, resource development and financial aid. Prior positions include owning and operating several successful small businesses.
In addition to his professional experience, John has distinguished himself with his many community involvements. Most notably, John is a founder and current Chair of the Board of Directors of the Colorado Dragon Boat Festival, now in its fourth year. He serves in leadership roles on the Boards of both the Broomfield and Asian Chambers of Commerce. John is a member of the Community Relations Council of the Denver Center for the Performing Arts. He is also involved with a number of other organizations that serve the Asian Pacific American community. -
