   Mr. Chen teaches International Financial Management and Investment and Portfolio Management for the College of Business. His research interests are corporate capital structure , merger and acquisition , international debt rescheduling and evaluation of U.S. foreign currency warranty.
   
   Prior to joining CU-Denver , he worked with corporate executives of companies like EDS and IBM prior to their conducting business in China. He also served as a Teaching Associate in the Chinese Executive Summer Program of the University of Denver. He managed the International Banking Exchange Program that involved the College of Business at the University of Colorado at Denver , Colorado State Treasurer's Office , United Bank of Denver , First Interstate Bank of Denver and the People's Bank of China.
   
   Mr. Chen has consulted for many U.S. firms on the topics of international business transactions and technology transfer to Chinese businesses. Recent clients include Sundstrand Corporation , Metrum Information Storage ( formerly Honeywell ) , Central Bank for Cooperatives , Concord , and Denver East Machinery. He also worked for Citicorp Retail Services , Smith-Beam International and Colorado National Bank.
   
   He also serves as Program Coordinator of the Institute for International Business at the University of Colorado at Denver.
