Hunter is currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Biomedical Engineering at Johns Hopkins University. His research interests include imaging, drug delivery, and gene/cell therapies. In the laboratory of Dr. Kam Leong, he is investigating the transport of nanoparticles for drug/gene delivery to identify rate-limiting steps, potentially facilitating the design of more efficient carriers. Previously, Hunter was a Senior Associate in the Life Sciences Group at Global Prior Art, an intellectual property consulting firm specializing in due diligence and analysis of the IP landscape. Hunter received his BS in Bioengineering from the University of California at Berkeley and MSE in Biomedical Engineering from Johns Hopkins. He hopes to encourage awareness of technology and entrepreneurship among students and faculty through HBN.
