Dr. Hsueh-hua Chen is Professor in the Department of Library and Information Science at the National Taiwan University.She has earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Library Science from this institution, along with a Master of Education (educational media and librarianship) and Doctor of Education (higher education) degrees from the University of Georgia.

Dr. Chen's recent research projects and published articles reflect an abiding interest in digital libraries and the development of metadata standards for Chinese-language information.She has also served on the editorial boards of a number of Chinese journals related to libraries and information science.
