Dr. David Chen, PhD. Vice President of Engineering, Asia Pacific Dr. Chen brings substantial systems architecture and ASIC development experience to CommASIC. Earlier in his career, Dr. Chen played a senior engineering role for development of a CDMA ASIC solution at VLSI Technology Inc., which was later acquired by Philips Semiconductors. He was the DSP hardware subsystem lead and system architect for the IS-95/IS-2000 mobile station ASIC. Prior to joining CommASIC, Dr. Chen was a senior staff scientist developing cable, terrestrial and satellite set-top box ASICs at Broadcom Corporation. Dr. Chen holds a Ph.D. degree in Electrical Engineering from UCLA and a BSEE degree from National Taiwan University.
