   David Chen joined BCD Semiconductor as Vice President of Engineering in March 2002, and promoted to Chief Technology Officer in 2004. Mr. Chen has had over 23 years of experience in the integrated semiconductor industry. Prior to joining BCD Semiconductor, Mr. Chen held various positions, including management positions, at Rockwell International and Silicon Systems Inc., in which he led product design and development teams for integrated circuits for use in telecomm and HDD applications. From 1996 to 2001, he was a Design Manager and Distinguished Member of Technical Staff at Texas Instruments Incorporated. Mr. Chen holds various U.S. patents in the field of signal processing and power integrated circuits. Mr. Chen received a B.S. in 1974 from National Cheng Kung University, an M.S. in 1976 from National Tsing Hua University, Taiwan and an M.S. in 1981 from the University of California, Los Angeles.

Previously, he served as Rockwell International¡¯s Design Manager. At Texas Instruments, he was the Engineering Manager for mixed-signal mode integrated circuits. Mr. Chen has contributed much to the field of analog integrated circuit design. He designed the world¡¯s first 9600 Baud Rate Fax/Modem chip. He also designed and developed high precision Hard Disk Drive servo ICs and high performance telecommunications analog circuits. He owns 8 patents on analog circuit design in the United States. Mr. Chen received his MS degree in Electrical Engineering from University of California at Los Angeles.
