   Cody studied law at Southwest University of Political Science & Law (LLM degree in 2001) and was admitted to the Chinese bar* in 1999.Cody worked as associate with two Chinese local firms in Chongqing from 2000 to 2004 (secondment to a Hong Kong firm in 2001 and participant of the 2002/2003 Lord Chancellor's Training Scheme in London).In 2005, he joined Taylor Wessing's Shanghai office.
   
   * Since Cody is working for a foreign law firm, he is presently not permitted to simultaneously practice as a Chinese lawyer.
   
   Cody speaks Mandarin, English as well as Zhejiang and Sichuanese dialect fluently.
   
   Cody is an active member of the Logistics Working Group of the European Union Chamber of Commerce in Shanghai.
