Standard Bank has appointed Charles Chen to its Taiwan operations as Director, Head of Global Markets.He will be responsible for all Standard Bank's global markets activities in Taipei including interest rate and foreign exchange trading.He will report to Michael Swo, General Manager, Taiwan and also to Jonathan Chung, Head of Global Markets, Asia, based in Hong Kong.
Chen was previously with Toronto-Dominion Bank in Taiwan, where he was Head of Capital Markets and Country Head and was responsible for G7 and TWD derivatives trading and sales businesses.Prior to this he worked at UBS, Bank of America and JP Morgan Chase.
