Dr. Charles C. Chen, M.D. received his undergraduate degree in 1980 and medical degree in 1984 from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, Michigan. He served his internship and Internal Medicine residency at University of Michigan affiliated St. Joseph Mercy Hospital, Ann Arbor, Michigan from 1985 to 1987. He then completed a Nuclear Medicine residency at Yale-New Haven Hospital, New Haven, Connecticut from 1987 to 1989.
From 1989 to 1990, Dr. Chen completed a brain imaging research fellowship at Columbia Presbyterian Hospital and New York Psychiatric Institute, New York, New York. Dr. Chen is a member of the Illinois State Medical Society, Radiological Society of North America, American College of Radiology, Society of Nuclear Medicine, American College of Nuclear Physicians and the American Medical Association. Prior to association with Central Illinois Radiological Associates, Ltd., Dr. Chen was an Assistant Professor of Radiology and Nuclear Medicine at the University of Maryland Medical System, Baltimore, Maryland from 1993 to 1996. Dr. Chen is Board Certified in both Nuclear Medicine and Diagnostic Radiology and joined Central Illinois Radiological Associates, Ltd. in 1997 as Chief of Nuclear Medicine. -
