    October 2, 2001 U.S. Chemical, Pesticide Companies Urged To Be Sure Products on Chinese Inventory The October 2, 2001, BNA Daily Environment Report features an article on China's chemical inventory, which is being reopened for six months. B&C's Andy Chen, Ph.D., is quoted in the article. According to Chen, the national inventory is being reopened for six months in anticipation of a new regulation. Companies that deal with chemicals or pesticides that are on China's inventory will be allowed to continue making, using, or importing them. Chen notes that once the inventory is closed, companies that want to make, work with, or sell chemicals and pesticides that are not on the inventory would have to submit a premanufacturing notice to China's State Environmental Protection Agency.
