   Chen joins the firm from Sedgwick, Detert, Moran & Arnold LLP in Los Angeles.He focuses his practice on litigation of copyright and trademark infringement actions involving software counterfeiting, gray market goods, false advertising, e-commerce, domain dispute, e-discovery, and imports from China and Taiwan.His transactional experience includes counseling clients on licensing, enforcement, and management of copyright, trademark, and patent rights.His clients include domestic and foreign entities in the broadcasting, publication, e-commerce, and technology industries.
   
   Active in the legal community, Chen, who is fluent in Mandarin and Hakka, and literate in Chinese, is a member of the American Bar Association - First Amendment and Media Litigation Committee, where he serves as web editor.He is also a member of the Asian Pacific American Legal Center - Executive Advisory Council, the Taiwanese American Lawyers Association, and the Advisory Committee on Voter Participation and Outreach to Former Secretary of State Bill Jones.Chen is also a founder and board member for the Los Angeles Nonprofit Technology Education Resource Network.
   
   Prior to starting his legal career, Chen served as the executive director for Vision 21, a grassroots organization that he established and managed.The organization lobbied federal and state legislature on policy issues involving minority voting rights, multilingual government services, and redistricting in California.
   
   Chen received his J.D. from Southwestern University School of Law in 2002, and his B.A. from the University of California at San Diego in 1993.He is admitted to practice in California and before several state and federal courts.
