Adele is originally from China. Prior to transferring to USC, she came to the United States in fall 2003 and studied as a graduate student in the Communication and Journalism Department at the University of New Mexico. She also served as an instructor and teaching assistant for the courses Public Speaking, and Introduction to Communication.
Before coming to the United States, Adele studied at Fudan University in Shanghai, China. She graduated in 2003 with a degree in broadcast journalism. She was the vice president of Magic Club, the only English student club on campus.
