Abraham Chen, Founder and V. P. of Engineering,
Avinta Communications Inc.,
Abe Chen is a Founder and V. P. of Engineering at Avinta Communications, Inc. pioneering the TCI (Telephony Computer Integration) networking technology.His prior experience includes developing military satellite microwave equipment at MIT Lincoln Lab, digital ground station at Raytheon, systems engineering on Public Switched Telephone Network (PSTN) at AT&T's Bell Labs as well as Private Branch eXchange (PBX) switches at Northern Telecom's BNR (Bell Northern Research), designing private pay telephones and spread spectrum radio based wireless telephones.Abe's many years' study of the telephone switching systems led to the dPABX (distributed PABX) technology which has been further evolved to fuel Avinta's TCI initiative.
A graduate of National Chiao Tung University, Taiwan, ROC in 1968, Mr. Chen received his B. S. in Electrophysics, Mr. Chen also received his M. S. & E. E. degrees in Electrical Engineering from Massachusetts Institute of Technology, MA in 1970.
