EDWARD CHELL - research profile
Member of the Painting in Context and the Curatorship Practices
Chell's painting explores the relationship between the painted sign/system and process, history, memory and abstraction. Chell has exhibited extensively in Britain and abroad contributing recently to two touring shows, Foil and Chora and participating in British Abstract Painting 2001 at the Flowers East Gallery, London. He recently had a solo show at the Anthony Wilson Gallery and is currently preparing for solo shows in Tokyo and Dusseldorf.
