   Rodney Chelberg, MD, was appointed medical director of the Emergency Department at St. Joseph Healthcare. He will provide medical oversight for the 15-bed department, which provides 24-hour emergency care at St. Joseph Hospital. Chelberg received his medical degree at the University of Minnesota in Minneapolis, MN. He served both an internship and residency at Abbott Northwestern Hospital, also in Minneapolis. Before coming to Maine, he practiced internal medicine and critical care for several years, and served nine years as director of an urgent care unit.
