Wilmington, DE - Ellen Cheever, CMKBD, ASID, the well-known designer, author and kitchen/bath industry educator, has been recognized for her achievements in 2002 by the nation's leading trade association for interior designers.
Cheever, who's currently an industry consultant and showroom designer, was cited as the "Designer of Distinction for 2002" at the recently held American Society of Interior Designers Pennsylvania East Annual Awards Banquet.
The award, based on Cheever's design portfolio over the past 12 months, is the highest recognition given for design excellence by the organization.
Cheever currently heads her own company, Ellen Cheever and Associates, which is based in Wilmington, DE.
Her design work over the past year has included an award-winning showroom in Bryn Mawr, PA and an Old World residential project, in Wilmington, which received an international design award. In addition, Cheever has been involved in the Viking Culinary Arts Center Teaching and Theater Kitchen Center in Nashville, and has also worked on a variety of projects for a number of leading kitchen and bath product manufacturers.
Cheever, a member of the National Kitchen and Bath Association's Hall of Fame, has written extensively, and her work includes authorship of a number of kitchen/bath textbooks.
