After leaving the U.S. Marine Corp, he entered into the sewing machine industry in 1965 and formed a small sewing machine store, Manchester Sewing Machine Center, in 1976. He has extensive experience with the operation, maintenance, and repair of all the major brands of sewing machines and sergers.
