Mr. John Christopher Cheek

Mr. Cheek is survived by one son, Stephen Anthony Cheek of Lanett; his mother, Mrs. Angelyn C. Cheek of Valley; one brother, John Christopher (Terri) Cheek of El Paso, Texas; and six nieces and nephews.

Born Oct. 30, 1956 in Valley, Mr. Cheek was a graduate of Springwood School where he played football and basketball.He received two degrees from LaGrange College.He had taught school at Lanett High School and at Smiths Station High School.He retired as a technician from Economy Pest Control in Asheville, N.C., because of ill health.He was an avid Alabama Crimson Tide Fan.Mr. Cheek was a member of Manna Fellowship in West Point.
