   Shangri-La's chief executive Donald Chee, who was also present at the news conference, said a variety of Chinese dishes would be made available at Shangri-La, which was scheduled for opening on January 12. The hotel chain had a branch at Bangalore also, he added.
   
   Kerala Hotel and Restaurant Association general secretary K Kuriakose welcomed the entry of Shangri-La to offer a new variety to Kochiites and said he had made available a portion of his hotel building in the city to start the Chinese Restaurant in the hope that it would not affect his business.
