Chechalk Resigns from Town of Oakville
CAO Recognized for Overseeing Major Changes During Past Five Years
Oakville, May 9, 2006 -- For Immediate Release Town of Oakville Chief Administrative Officer and Town Manager Joann Chechalk has announced her resignation from the Town, effective May 15, 2006.
"I want to thank Joann for her five years of service through some of the most challenging times in the Town's history," said Oakville Mayor Ann Mulvale.

Ms. Chechalk highlighted the Town's recently completed Master Plans for the Environment, Transportation, Parks, Recreation, Culture and Libraries, Governance and the Town's Organizational Structure as key accomplishments during her tenure at the Town. She also noted that the she was very proud of the Town's role in engaging public involvement in planning for future growth in North Oakville, particularly the groundbreaking design charrettes hosted by the Town in 2004.
