   Mike Cheatwood earned his real estate license in 1998 and has been, full time, in real estate as both an investor and an agent since his retirement from the Navy in April 2000.During his 23 years in the Navy he first achieved the rank of Chief Petty Officer (1986) and then after being selected for the Navy's LDO Program, he served on several ships, retiring as a Lt.Commander (O-4).
   
   Mike has competed 150+ real estate investor deals in the past 9+ years, at one time owning 25 apartment buildings in Norfolk and Portsmouth with 176 tenants total.Currently he operates as an investor/landlord, but does work with specialized clients in larger/more creative property acquisition/management deals.Mike currently checks in with his property manager for the 118 lot mobile home park that he owns and personally manages his 20+ house rentals in the local area.Mike also supervises his rehab crew in finding, fixing and flipping 5-6 houses a year.Mike Cheatwood is currently the Immediate Past President of the Tidewater Real estate Investor Group, Inc. after serving for 5 consecutive years (January 2001-January 2006) as President/CEO of the 400+ member 501C6 non-profit organization.
   
   Mike also works closely with his daughter (Rhiannon Cheatwood) who is a graduate of Radford University and who also has her real estate license with Sea Shore Realty.
