   Linsey Cheatham is the Director of Childcare. She is a part-time member of FUMC's staff. She works directly with the Nursery Committee and childcare staff to provide a nursery ministry with a safe, loving and nurturing atmosphere for all young children during church functions and meetings.
   
   Linsey has been attending First Church since 1989 and became a member in 1994. She graduated from Texas Tech in 1993 with a Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree in Design Communications. After graduation from Tech she married her husband, Scott, in 1994 in Dallas and worked in the design field. They subsequently moved back to Lubbock because they believe Lubbock is as great place to raise a family. In 1999 their first child, Ben, was born and in 2001, Sarah was born. Linsey's entire family attends First United Methodist Church, including her parents, Linsey's sister and her sister's family.
   
   Linsey has been very active here at First Church. She has helped with Vacation Bible School, various children's ministries as well as adult ministries. Before she joined the staff, she served as a member of the Nursery Committee and then as its Chairperson.
   
   Linsey loves working with children and regards her work as a way to serve God and FUMC's entire congregation. Linsey and her staff strive to have the best nursery and child care opportunities in town.
