   In July 2005, Rudolph Chayadi accepted a critical job assignment. After four months at NationsRent, Inc., he was named Accounts Payable Manager for the $500 million firm. Chayadi's 46-person department manually processes 8,000 to 10,000 invoices weekly.

   Chayadi, a six-year veteran of accounts payable, had plans to enhance and upgrade NationsRent's accounts payables function. He also wanted to hit the ground running in his new job and obtain the best possible support for his department. To that end, NationsRent Assistant Controller Mike Dubasi suggested that Chayadi check out the additional resources and expertise offered by The Accounts Payable Network.

   Chayadi said he was hooked after his first visit to the Network. "The Accounts Payable Network provides a diversified amount of information at various levels -- anything from a form that is critical for day-to-day production, to the latest information on Sarbanes-Oxley, which is vital for our business right now," Chayadi said. "I saw the vast array of information, the quality of the information, and how up-to-date it was. It was a no-brainer for me to decide that this was the best resource to support NationsRent's accounts payable department."
   
   Since Chayadi joined The Accounts Payable Network in July 2005, it has become the NationsRent accounts payable department's primary source of support for addressing any discrepancies or inquiries on AP policies and procedures. It also has helped Chayadi establish a proper infrastructure for AP functions.
   
   "I have constructed our whole policy and procedures manual using The Accounts Payables Network forms, resources and examples on a day-to-day basis," he said.
   
   The resources offered at The Accounts Payable Network are helping Chayadi plan for the future of his department, as well -- including research on and the eventual addition of electronic data interchange (EDI) to NationsRent's accounts payable processing system.

   "The customer service is unmatched," Chayadi said. "The network is very easy to access, but as with many employees as I have, I don't always have time to explore. I can call The Accounts Payable Network and they can always get me right where I need to be at the site."
