   Ms. Chawla is a Senior Member of the Firm and is actively involved in the management of the Firm. Her practice encompasses strategic corporate investments, mergers & acquisitions, joint ventures, foreign collaborations, technology and trademark licensing, outsourcing of software development and various other types of commercial contracts. She has structured, negotiated and drafted a wide range of business transactions for foreign investors and multinational corporations drawing upon her experience with business formation, corporate governance, securities law, exchange control & foreign investment laws, intellectual property protection, real estate, labour & employment and taxation.
   
   Ms. Chawla has assisted a number of multinational corporations (including several Fortune 500 companies) in obtaining regulatory approvals and setting up their presence in India in varied service as well as manufacturing sectors including telecommunications, information technology, automobiles and chemicals. She also sits on the Board of various Indian companies representing foreign corporations. In
   
   the recent years, she has worked on transactions involving disinvestment by the Indian Government of its stake in public sector companies.
   
   Ms. Chawla also represents several foreign and international non-profit organizations in relation to their activities in the country.

   Ms. Chawla was awarded the National Law Day Award-2000 by the Union Law Minister for "Excellence in Corporate Law" and for her "unique contribution in bringing foreign exchange into India".
