    SACO - Myrtle Chaplin, 82, of Pine Haven Street died at her residence on Thursday, December 27, 2001.She was born in Farmington, ME on June 23,1919, a daughter of Hillman and Lucy Berry Lisherness, and was educated in Portland and Kingfield schools.She graduated from the Nursing School at the former Maine General Hospital.She was a registered nurse at the Osteopathic Hospital for 25 years, retiring in 1981.Prior to retirement, she was appointed Director of Nursing.Her love was her cat 'Boots' and her family.Surviving her are; a daughter, Mrs. Paul ( Linda ) Bernier of Westbrook, a sister, Hilda Witham of North Anson, ME, 1 granddaughter, Veronica Bernier of Westbrook, several nieces and nephews.There will be no visiting hours.Services will be held in the spring at a date and time to be announced.Memorial donations may be made in her name to: The Visiting Nurse Service, 15 Industrial Park Rd., Saco, ME 04072.Arrangements are by Alpha Cremation Service, 480 Elm Street, Biddeford.
