"There's a cloud we've got to blow out of the way," said Seth Chandler, of Jackson, a chief executive with the firm of DCA/DCPR.He spoke to a group of 33 community leaders, city officials, Jaxx personnel and media representatives at City Hall on Thursday.
...
"What we have here is a failure to communicate," Chandler said.
...
Chandler said a marketing campaign will include Jaxx players signing autographs at the new youth baseball-softball complex beside Pringles Park, free tickets for players competing at the youth complex, and the forming of the "Jaxx Rowdies," a group of crazies who cheer the Jaxx and make clean fun of the opponent.
"That adds to the entertainment value you get at the park, and it's just fun," Chandler said."Our whole campaign is about getting people in the seats. That's what we've got to add back to the mix at Pringles Park."
Each city in West Tennessee will have Jaxx promotions in its local media.
"Nobody in West Tennessee will be able to say they didn't know what was happening," Chandler said.
