With the help of Deputy Sean Chandler, Lyle and Aldo began tracking Peel at a house where Bella Vista police officers said she was supposed to have rung a doorbell. In his report, Lyle wrote, "We tracked the suspect for about one-half to three-fourths of a mile through woods, grass and over pavement, where we came to a residence on Spanker Road that had a black truck parked near the roadway. "K-9 Aldo stopped just past the truck and started air scenting, indicating to me that the suspect was likely nearby. "Just about that time, Chandler advised me that he could see (Peel) in the vehicle lying down in the front seat.

"Deputy Chandler and I then took Gina Lynn Peel into custody.

This weekend and next, Piedmont Virginia Community College presents what director Sean Chandler calls a "heavily staged" reading of the script.

Highway Child, a sexually ambiguous character (played in this rendition by a woman) wanders the earth, creating the road she travels with each new step.Along the way, she encounters the trickster Coyote, drawn from a liberal reinterpretation of American Indian mythologies.Coyote tells her the story of the beginning of time, and prophesizes the end of it.

Chandler says his biggest challenge as director has been using sound and light to compensate for the lack of special effects available to the boot-strap cinematographer.

"I would love to be able to turn this into a movie," he says, which is only somewhat ironic considering the play's underlying message: we've lost a sense of ourselves by straying from our connections with nature and with each other.
