Sara Chandler is an associate in the Business Services Group and Intellectual Property Services Group of Babst, Calland, Clements and Zomnir, P.C.Ms. Chandler's practice includes structuring and modifying business entities, mergers and acquisitions, and drafting internal corporate documents such as shareholder agreements, corporate resolutions and meeting minutes.In addition, she also advises businesses on intellectual property issues, particularly in the areas of technology and software development contracts, copyrights and trademarks.
BACKGROUND
Ms. Chandler graduated with High Distinction from Indiana University - Bloomington in 1998, where she received a B.A. with a double major in Economics and Political Science, earning departmental honors in both majors, and was elected to membership in Phi Beta Kappa.She also received an area certificate in Liberal Arts and Management during her studies at Indiana University through an honors program where she supplemented her liberal arts studies with business management courses.Before entering law school, Ms. Chandler worked for American Management Systems, Inc. (now CGI-AMS) as a business and technical analyst.While working for American Management Systems, she designed, tested and implemented software systems for various state government agencies across the United States.Ms. Chandler's responsibilities included leading multimillion dollar module design efforts, negotiation of contract revisions, developing risk mitigation plans, and working closely with clients to resolve critical issues. Ms. Chandler received her J.D., cum laude, from the University of Pittsburgh in 2006 where she was elected for membership in the Order of the Coif and awarded with the ABA-BNA Intellectual Property Award at graduation.She served as the Lead Executive Editor of the University of Pittsburgh Law Review, where she will be published in the Fall 2006 issue.Ms. Chandler also graduated with Highest Distinction from Carnegie Mellon University in 2006 with a M.S. in Public Policy and Management. While in law school, Ms. Chandler worked as a research assistant for Professor Welsh S. White.

As an independent contractor, Ms. Chandler's responsibilities included co-authoring a specialized Geographic Information Systems tutorial for use by legal aid societies across the United States, analyzing the effectiveness of various technology training programs in the legal aid community, and performing website utility evaluations.
MEMBERSHIP AND AFFILIATIONS
Ms. Chandler was admitted to the Pennsylvania Bar in 2006.She is a member of the Allegheny County, Pennsylvania and American Bar Associations.
