Chandler, a former town clerk and York County budget committee member from Lebanon, said if elected, she would listen to the citizens of York County and would be "a strong voice for the small towns."

Chandler holds a paralegal diploma, and taught real estate law for the Marshwood Adult Education Program.
Chandler has lived and worked in Lebanon for many years.She currently is the chief executive officer of Chandler Septic Services and the former owner and operator of Sallie Brown Pavement Marketing.She is also the former chief executive officer of Stanley Brown Logging.
Chandler said her experience as a York County Budget Committee member and as a former town clerk of Lebanon - combined with her experience in small family business - has given her insight into how county government affects local government and small businesses.
"We need people willing to listen to the citizens who are paying the bills," she said."I'm committed, caring and capable.I know I have the right attitude."
Chandler is a member of the Maine Democrat State Committee, the chair of the membership and campaign committee for York County Democrats, a life member of the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP) and chair of the political action committee and membership committee in the group's Portland branch.
Chandler is a member of the Sanford-Springvale Rotary Club and the Unitarian Universalist Church.
