Another funding entity decided to award cash incrementally during a 12-month period instead of in a lump sum at the beginning of the fiscal year, which interrupted cash flow at the organization, said Inkster Senior Services Director Denise Champagne."We knew we would have to shut down for about eight days between now and June 30, and we have a staffing shortage right now, so it was easier to do it now," she said.
