CHESHIRE -- Allie J. Casso Sr., 78, of 693 Ives Row and 18366 Van Nuy's Circle, Port Charlotte, Fla., died Tuesday, Nov. 20, 2001, at his home. He was the husband of Louise M. (Crossley) Casso.
Mr. Casso was born Dec. 20, 1922 in Waterbury, son of the late James and Sarah (Jacaruso) Casso, and had lived in Cheshire most of his life. He graduated from Humiston School, Leavenworth High School and two years of international correspondence. Prior to retiring, he was employed as a technical representative at Washburn Dental Supply in New Haven, where he worked for 23 years. After retiring, he worked for Patterson Dental from 1983 to 1988. He was a communicant of Maximillian Colby Church in Port Charlotte, Fla. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II and a charter member of VFW Post 10052 of Cheshire. He held office in the Sportsman Yacht Club of Port Charlotte.
Besides his wife of 50 years, he leaves five sons, Allie J. Casso Jr. and his wife, Kate of Houston, Texas, Ronald Casso and his wife, Louise of Cheshire, Mark Casso and his wife, Kim of Austin, Texas, Wayne Casso and his wife, Jean of Cheshire and Ross Casso and his wife, Debbie of Austin, Texas; four brothers, Patric Casso of Meriden, Joseph Casso of Kensington, Mike Casso of Cheshire and Bro.
