   Ms. Gassner joined Holland & Hart's business practice group in 2007. Before doing this, she was Deputy Attorney General of Idaho's Office of the Attorney General. In this position, she advised and represented the Idaho Public Utilities Commission and other state officials on matters of telecommunications, gas, water, and energy. In 2002, Ms. Gassner founded the Lifetech Law Group. Her group focused on advising technology and life science-based clients on intellectual property transactions, protection strategies, and document management programs.
   
   Ms. Gassner has conducted the intellectual property due diligence on mergers and acquisitions totaling over $3B in assets for financial services companies, apparel lines, environmental companies and publishing companies. She has worked with life science companies in the negotiations of all transactions related to their key clinical trials and the protection of their intellectual property. She has a broad range of experience working with companies to create their internal and external privacy and information security policies.
