   During law school, Celestial completed a public interest fellowship with Legal Services of Northern California, where she assisted indigent clients with housing, benefits, and employment issues.Celestial also worked as a teaching assistant at the UC Davis School of Law and the UC Davis Political Science Department, co-authored an article for the UC Davis Law Review with a law professor, served as board member and co-chair of a nonprofit legal foundation, and completed the King Hall Public Service Law Program.
   
   Before attending law school, Celestial spent three years working with a nonprofit affordable housing and community building organization in Portland, Oregon.
