MP Laura Moffatt congratulated Crawley College Educational Development student, Zahir Cassim, on Monday 18th February, for the outstanding voluntary work he has completed.
Zahir, aged 17 from Haywards Heath, received a certificate from Laura for successfully completing 200 hours of voluntary work within the Millennium Volunteers Project. This is an excellent achievement as students can opt for various levels and he has qualified for the maximum award.
Zahir has been collecting and sorting plastic bottles for recycling in a busy Market in Burgess Hill at weekends. He said, "I have made lots of new friends, some from Mauritius where my family is originally from.
