Matt Cassidy co-founded Horizons Unlimited in 1992. He has explored portions of Quetico Provincial Park in Ontario by canoe since childhood, and has planned and led several Quetico trips for HU since its founding. In addition, he has led backpacking trips to the Lizard Head Wilderness in Rio Grande National Forest in Colorado, the Gila Wilderness in New Mexico, and the Big Frog Wilderness in Tennessee. He has a bachelor's degree in political science from Iowa State University, and works as a systems developer for SunGard Futures Systems in Chicago.
