JOHN P. CASSIDY JOINS INTERFACE MEDIA GROUP AS ACCOUNT EXECUTIVE
WASHINGTON, DC - April 28, 2000 - John P. Cassidy has joined Interface Media Group, a leader in providing a wide array of film and video production services to professional communicators in the Washington, DC area, as Account Executive, it was announced today by Interface Vice President/Sales and Marketing Adam Hurst.
John Cassidy, 32, comes to Interface Media Group with a decade of hands on, industry experience shooting, editing and writing for television.At Canadian Television Network (Washington, DC) he was, from December 1998 to April 2000, an ENG Technician, shooting and editing short form news and long form features for a daily national news broadcast.In addition, he operated camera and audio, composed lighting and sets for live news broadcasts for Canada AM and the National Evening News.From August 1996 to December 1998 he worked at ABC-TV affiliate WRIC (Richmond, VA), moving through the ranks from Staff Photographer to Assistant Chief Photographer, creating and developing story ideas, tracking equipment, and supervising a team of nine.At WNS-TV (Wilmington, DE) from March 1993 to August 1996, where Cassidy quickly became Chief Photographer, he supervised a staff of four while still performing camera, chyron and audio duties, interviewing news subjects, and writing scripts for on-air stories.Earlier in his career, from June 1990 to March 1993, John Cassidy produced and directed live television broadcasts, ranging from half-hour programs to half-day telethons, for TCI-TV 28 (Wilmington, DE)."John has tremendous in-depth knowledge of the industry.He started out selling radio advertising and then chose to switch his career to shooting and editing in order to focus on his passion and talent for storytelling.After 10 years, he has decided to move on to new challenges and avenues for storytelling by becoming an Account Executive.
