Gary Cassidy holds an MFA from Claremont Graduate University and a Doctorate in Education from George Mason University. A Special Forces Colonel upon retiring from the U.S. Army, Gary served in Bosnia, the First Gulf War, and Vietnam capping that time by serving as the Chief of the Psychological Operations and Civil Affairs Division, Department of the Army in the Pentagon. He was recalled to be the Army's Artist and sent to Bosnia in 1998/99 to capture images and create a body of artwork depicting our soldiers' experiences. His artworks are in the Army Art Collection in Washington, D.C., The National Vietnam Veterans Art Museum in Chicago, Illinois, and in numerous military, corporate, and private collections.
